I can help!

Erica Peachey is a Consultant in Animal Behaviour, based in West Kirby, Wirral. 

The practice was established in 1990 and helps companion animals and their families to build better relationships, using gentle, reward-based training methods.

We specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and management of behavioural problems in companion animals.  Behaviour consultations are available upon veterinary referral.  We work with owners to make an individual behaviour modification programme to suit their pet and keep in close contact to assist with any changes. 

Some pet insurance companies cover behaviour consultations.

We offer one-to-one training sessions and run the ‘Good Dog!’ and ‘Good Puppy!’ courses, unique to Erica’s practice.  We aim to teach owners and dogs to have a better understanding of each other, to avoid problems and to teach response to basic commands.  These are mainly held in Hoylake, Wirral.

Meet Erica

Growing up in a household with dogs and cats, I was fascinated in why they do what they do and decided that I wanted to learn more.

A lifetime of study - academic, practical, learning from my own animals and watching other people and their pets, has enabled me to work in my dream job - working with pets and their families to help them enjoy life together.

I’ve realised that this work, and having three children, has allowed me to live with so many different types of animal - 11 different species not including the children.

I have promoted ethical dog training and behaviour in my business from the beginning ad I love seeing the improvements as dogs, cats and their families deepen their understanding and develop a closer bond.

You can be sure that my commitment to ethical training practices ensures that your dog's well-being and happiness are at always the forefront of my approach.  I only use compassionate techniques that foster trust and joyful learning experiences.

Many people tell me that they just want to have a happy, friendly dog who fits into their life.

Unfortunately, its not always that easy.  We forget that this is a lot we are asking of our dogs.  We expect a great deal from our pets and sometimes they find it hard to adapt to the vision we have. Over the last 35 years, I’ve worked with dogs, cats and their families to help them lead happier lives together.
