Celebrating the first 35 years
1990 - 2025
Here are some of the fabulous dogs and cats I have worked with over this wonderful time.
Huge thanks to all of you.
In alphabetical order, no favouritism.
Here’s to the next 35 years.

Alley, Sonic and Rudolph
Our three gorgeous boy cats decided that life was better if they scent-marked everywhere. Erica helped us overcome this and taught us how to help them feel at ease with each other—without the wee!
-
Aura, Fox, Scarlett and Jezabel
Our three cats struggled when a lovely puppy joined the family. Erica helped them cope, and things soon settled down.

Basil
Coming to puppy/dog training classes is all good, fun and important, but when you have a real problem you need to deal with - that’s actually quite stressful.
With a holiday booked to share a house, a boisterous young lab and a terrier that doesn’t really like puppies, we really needed your help to make sure we got the dogs off to a positive start.
Your guidance, reassurance and practical help made it all possible, and they are actually now the best of friends. As evidenced by the photo

Bertie
Bertie has been going to Erica's classes since he was old enough to attend and they've been great for him and for us. We all enjoy the classes, both the training and meeting other dogs and Bertie loves doing his homework! Here he is after the Christmas party with one of his prizes. He slept well after all the fun!
-

Bess
Bess was the most lovely and generally well behaved cavalier who coming out of lockdown developed the habit of barking loudly in cafes until food was produced and preferably given to her, to the extent that on one occasion we were asked to sit outside. My friend and I were going to do the North Coast 500 with our dogs and this would involve a lot of eating out. We thought we would be coming back like Kate Moss unless Bess changed her ways, and Erica came to the rescue at short notice - she gave us advice and in less than a month Bess was a joy to take out again, and thoroughly enjoyed her month long Scottish odessey, eating in a variety of establishments with no problem at all.
-

Beth
Our beautiful cat Beth was born outside and struggled with socialising. Erica helped both us and Beth, guiding her towards more comfortable, confident interactions.
-

Bobby
Our pretty little cat Bobby was being bullied by our other cats and wasn’t standing up for herself. Erica helped us build Bobby’s confidence and made her life much easier to navigate.
-
Charlie
Charlie is doing really well. The vet last week is really pleased with how he is doing. Loose lead walking is coming along and he is more confident on his walks. Our Mum and Dad couldn’t believe the difference when they took him out recently! We have been continuing the work on his triggers and Charlie is really improving. He is much more confident with passers by. We are so much more confident with him now too, so we are able to go to places we would have avoided before and are looking forward to taking him on holiday soon. Thank you so much again.
-

Corey
Our handsome, intelligent dog Corey was a hand-raised puppy with many complex behavioural challenges. Erica helped him so much with his issues, many of which were a direct result of being hand-raised. She guided us through frustration, separation anxiety, barking, dislike of children and much more. Corey adored Erica, and he taught us all so much. Our beautiful boy – we miss you every second of every day.

Cyd and Dora
Erica is currently working with two of my rescue pug Cyd (13)and Dora (3)who after a great start together had a misunderstanding and now seriously have it in for each other. Cyd is going on a bit and is quite frail but thinks she can sort out Dora who could (and would) wipe her out just like that. Currently it's a challenge! But we are coping, which is a tribute to Erica's support in itself! It's taking it slowly, safety first and hopefully there will be a resolution to the situation eventually.
-

Electra and Siren
When they were tiny kittens, Erica helped us introduce Siren and Electra to our existing pets—Aura, Fox, and Scarlett. What we learned is that there is no “one-size-fits-all” way to introduce pets; it depends entirely on them!
-

Finn
You have been with us, gently teaching and guiding, from when Finn was a small puppy and doing his first puppy class with you right the way through to our KC Gold award. You were invaluable through Finns adolescence. We’ve enjoyed every moment, from learning new things through to valuable life skills . But most of all thank you for helping us to understand our dog and his needs better. There is no doubt in my mind that our relationship is stronger through knowing you.
Im pretty sure though if I ask Finn what he most apprecaites it would be your legendary Christmas parties. He’s never got over the thrill of winning the ‘who can eat a Bonio the fastest’ competition! Here he is wanting another go….

Foa, Brego and Aura
Our friendly tripod dog Aura and our ex-feral kittens struggled with their first introductions—the first meeting was a disaster all round, and we thought they’d never get along. Erica visited us at home, followed up with Zoom calls, and helped us see what was really happening. She gave us the confidence to keep going. Fast forward a few months and now they all adore each other. Thank you!
-

Hexe
Hexe loved the dogs. The little Cavalier was her absolute favourite, she adored him. It taught Hexe how to correctly greet very tiny dogs 😁
-

Marnie
Thanks so much again for a really fun Christmas party- attached is a pic of Marnie with her new toy, as you can see she is very chuffed with it!
-
Phoebe
I had never had a puppy before and really wanted to do this right, and started our first puppy class when Phoebe was just a few months old in 2013. We had so much fun! It was exactly what I had wanted, a playful, happy dog, who knew how to interact from the very beginning, and play and always come back to me as soon as I called.
I have been very lucky over as Erica has looked after Phoebe for me when we go on holiday, she is welcomed in to the house as one of the family and gets the most amazing care and exercise, I know that she is in such good hands.
Phoebe was chosen to play 'Charlie', in Puppy Love , a comedy drama. Erica took care of Phoebe throughout all the filming, and we even got paid for her performance !
-

Scarlett
Our lovely cat Scarlett was finding life overwhelming. She had become timid and disliked being approached. Erica understood the issue and helped us support Scarlett, while desensitising her to approach and turning it into a positive experience. Scarlett is much happier now.
-

Siren
Our stunning cat Siren struggled to cope with two new cat additions recently. Zoom calls really helped, as Erica could see issues that home visits might not have revealed. She helped us desensitise Siren, and now things are calm!
-
Sweep
My first case with Erica was Sweep in 2016. She had come from a rescue with her sister Yoda to join my two cavaliers, and proved a bit of a handful, attacking passing traffic, and literally anything else she took against, including the cavaliers. My husband was in despair with her, he didn't think we could keep her, but I contacted Erica for help. She would behave like an angel when Erica was there! Except for barking in dog class. Somehow we got more or less on top of it, but she always had a bit of resource guarding. She was a lovely girl however in spite everything and we were devastated to lose her in 2023.

Teshi
Teshi’s family said I could put this photo on of gorgeous Teshi. The photo is already out of date as Teshi has now acheived her APDT Good Companion Advanced Award.
-

Thank you so much for all of your help from the classes, we have learnt so much
